Since the second half of the 20th century, not only has the number of post-secondary educational institutions in Austria increased dramatically, but the higher education system has also become highly differentiated; it currently consists of four sectors in higher education : (1) public universities, (2) universities of applied sciences, (3) private universities and (4) university colleges of teacher education, each with its own genesis and functional orientation. Against this backdrop, the question arises as to what extent the different sectors and their specific organisational type affect campus-community-partnerships (CCPs). CCPs emerge as a dimension of a new culture of cooperation between higher education institutions (HEIs) and civil society which include individual, organisational, and inter-organisational learning. This article presents results from a recent survey (2022; N = 107) juxtaposing the impact of different types of HEIs on the initiation, support structures and formalization of CCPs, and discusses conclusions for the future design of CCPs.a| Zeitraum | 31 Aug. 2023 |
