Beschreibung

A surprisingly high number of businesses is started by migrants, creating jobs for themselves
and others. Current theory suggests that this is caused by exclusion on the labor market and by specific ethnic resources, making it more attractive for migrants to exploit a given opportunity than for natives. In search of an explanation for the unlikely phenomenon of migrant entrepreneurship, our paper aims to provide new answers by asking a new question: is it possible that migrant exploit more opportunity because they recognize more of them?
