Beschreibung
Meaning in organizations often gets lost during the integration or the assimilation process of companies in international mergers and acquisitions (M&As), thus turning them into less successful operations. This paper discusses the phenomenon of hybridization and theoretically sketches its relevance in M&As. First, hybridization is discussed as an intermediary stage within the integration or the assimilation process of organizations. Second, its potential positive impact on collective culture shocks, cultural stretch and sensemaking is highlighted. Third, a research design to systematically study the development of hybrid corporate cultures and its various implementations is proposed.Zeitraum | 25 Juni 2008 → 27 Juni 2008 |
