Learning from the future becomes a popular term in the organizational learning literature. Our approach of learning from an envisioned future is a concrete method that allows both individuals and organizations to cover a future-related dimension in their learning outcomes. This article investigates how an enhanced organizational learning approach including both learning from past and future experiences affects the overall outcome of a learning process. We present a strategy development process, which we conducted with a large organization in Austria, and report that an enhanced organizational learning process increases the quantity and quality of proposed actions to achieve strategic goals.
