Beschreibung

While institutional analysis has begun to address plural logics in organizations, it lacks attention to the possibility of other modes of coordinating that are more personal and local. This article shows the advantage for institutional research to systematically integrate different modes of coordinating, ranging from familiarity and close relations to publicly justifiable theories. We identify three conditions that encourage organizational members to use institutional logics. We suggest that people need to be competent in identifying, enacting and assessing the modes for getting coordination.
