"One voice for everybody”

As part of the forum "Accessability Data and SDG", Christian Schober presented first results from the project "One Voice for All". The purpose of this project was to test survey tools and survey situations for people with cognitive impairment. Social Statistics currently does not collect information about these people in quality of life surveys.The lecture focused on the topic of "easy language" and visual design of the questionnaire and the scales as well as the entire survey situation. Building trust between interviewee and interviewer is often not as easy for people with disabilities as it is usually the case. In addition, the ability to concentrate on average situations is somewhat limited, which affects the length and complexity of the survey. Breaks are here, for example, an effective means.
Questions and an animated discussion with other panelists also highlighted the relevance of the topic to the community.
