Beschreibung

It is a study on the implementation of remote working among administrative staff in a university. The university studied has addressed the challenges of diversity and digitalization with the aim of achieving inclusion, especially for women with children, through mobile working. On the one hand, mobile working is intended to enable women with young children to return to work after parental leave; on the other hand, the university would like to retain qualified staff in times of a shortage of skilled workers. Over time, the ideas of mobile working changed. Today, the university presents itself as an attractive international employer for professionals in various positions and fields, as well as for young professionals who expect flexible working conditions. This organizational policy has been accompanied by ongoing academic research to investigate cultural change. The research co-vers topics such as flexible working arrangements in terms of time and space before corona time and during corona time. The impact of digitalization on the working conditions of women and men, on the challenges of teamwork and the demands on managers are being analyzed. Of interest are the intersections between the categories of gender and diversity, where new forms of inequality emerge especially in dealing with digitalization, flexible forms of work, trust and control.
