There was a moment last year, when you could not move for articles about ESG, which as we all know stands for environmental, social and governance. For some figures on the far-right, ESG became a political football, ready to be kicked into touched whenever somebody mentions “woke”. But this year, something feels different. Maybe it’s just a case of acronym fatigue, or the news cycle moving on, but ESG does not feel as controversial as it did maybe 12 months ago?
