Improving the performance of railway systems by using real-time algorithms in disruption management

A functioning transport system is the backbone of economic activity. Disruptions like blocked tracks or malfunctioning rolling stock happen frequently and reduce the productivity of the railway system. Since it is mostly impossible to avoid disruptions, a fast and adequate response is necessary. The project deals with improving the performance of railway systems by dveloping real-time algorithms for disruption management.
