Managing Uncertainty in Dynamic Socio-Environmental Systems: An Application to UK Uplands

Natural and social scientists join forces with locals and policy makers to develop a framework that could be applied throughout the country's uplands to find new ways for people to detect change and harness it for their advantage. Participatory multicriteria analysis will be used to appraise uplands management options and agent-based modelling will be used to explore implications of different futures for land managers in the uplands.
