Abstract
In recent decades the issues related to climate change have gained increasing attention in the media and in public opinion. The high interest in environmental issues is explained by concern about the risks related to health and, in general, to the welfare of the population. The demographic effects, both direct and indirect, include the increase in mortality, related to catastrophic events, the deterioration of health - especially for children and elderly people, effects on reproductive health, on family stability and on mobility.
