Abstract

This dataset contains detailed information on the sectoral employment, demographic and socio-economic dynamics of the municipalities in Mexico from 1930 to 2000. This information has been taken from the decadal Population Censuses. Years prior 1950 have been digitized from the documents release by the Mexican Agency of Statistics, and complemented with the online resources from the website. The dataset also contains newly digitized data from the Agricultural Censuses covering the period 1930-1980 such as production, types and uses of land, machinery, and property ownership.
