Abstract

This editorial gives an overview of Kurt W. Rothschild's life and work. Moreover, it gives an outline of the papers presented at the Conference in Memory of Kurt W. Rothschild on December 1st and 2nd, 2011, held at the Austrian National Bank (OeNB) jointly with the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, the Austrian Economic Research Institute (WIFO), and the University of Linz.
