FP7-4-SD.eu Policy brief No 6: Monitoring the FP7 contribution towards the transition to a green economy in the context of sustainable development

The transition towards a green economy is increasingly taken up by policy making, both at the European (Europe 2020 strategy) and the international (UNEP, OECD, Rio+20) level. Research and development is considered as important vehicle for engaging into this transition. Against this background, this policy brief analyses how research carried out under the FP7 Specific Programme "Cooperation" addresses the green economy topic. Particular emphasis is put on international collaborations with developing countries.
