Description

The presentation gave an overview of the economic situation of the Western Balkans countries. Starting with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on public health and the national economy, Arnold Schuh continued with an analysis of the current FDI situation and the assessment of the investment attractiveness for foreign firms. Ethnic and political tensions, an inefficient public sector and the weak rule of law and a poor infrastructure were identified as structural problems hampering a faster economic development.
