Description
Better education, in particular of women, is vital to slow the world's population growth. Using the latest world population projections, Wolfgang Lutz will demonstrate that increasing women's education means there is a high chance the world population will peak around 2050-2070 and start to decline. His talk will also show how a smaller global population is central to reducing poverty, improving health, and increasing our ability to adapt to unavoidable climate change.Period | 18 May 2011 |
