Cash Transfer Programming (CTP) is increasingly used in humanitarian response. Based on primary and secondary qualitative data, this paper first analyzes the mechanism of CTPs and the humanitarian organizations’ criteria for implementing CTPs. Second, we explore the role of private sector, specifically of financial services providers in delivering cash to beneficiaries.
