"Through your eyes" - Pilot findings on the use of mixed-reality glasses in home care settings

As part of the European project "Care about Care", a Remote Care Assist system prototype (RCA), using a mixed-reality application and a web application, has been developed to support care workers and nurse assistant in home care service users' homes. The presentation gives an overview of the evaluation results of the pilot trial in Austria. It covers relevant use cases and the ability of care workers and nurses to use the RCA. Results show the usefulness for the RCA for wound care and wound management, training-on-the-job and exchange of information and point to potential reductions in travel time and increase in care quality. Further tests will be conducted in autumn 2022 and spring 2023.
