Personal profile

Research interests

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kleve, Germany, and a Master’s degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy from the Vienna University of Economics and Business in Vienna, Austria. Currently, I am a PhD student and a Research & Teaching Associate at the Institute for Ecological Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria. Also, I am part of the project EuroREGEN - Transnational Networks for regenerative development in Europe: A comparative perspective on grassroots mobilization and policy advocacy, funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia of the Portuguese Government. My research investigates the potential of community-led initiatives to contribute to the development of sustainable local economies and community-led social provisioning processes. More particularly, I aim to explore possibilities for collaborations between community-led initiatives, local policy makers and non-activist citizens. My further research interests include degrowth, social solidarity economy, social ecological transformation, critical realism and multicriteria mapping.
