Initial evaluations of the current time use survey from 2021/22 for Austria show that little has changed in the traditional time use patterns of households over time. In particular, the distribution of paid and unpaid work between men and women has remained similarly unequal, as was already evident in earlier surveys. The research project examines aspects of time use that receive less attention. The following relationships are examined: time poverty in relation to other dimensions of poverty; time use and mobility – socio-economic and regional differences; and intergenerational time use – analysis of the time use patterns of parents and their children.
