Description
The research is based on a study within the work of the European Public Administration network under coordination of the Austrian EU-presidency.
The focus lies on the practical relevance and experiences throughout Europe in the area of HRM regarding two major themes of public administration modernisation over the last two decades:
1) decentralisation of competencies to increase management autonomy
2) efforts to strengthen accountability
We are especially interested in the relationship and alignment of these two major reforms.
