    Description

    The Scharzenberg Bank represents the first investment bank and possibly the very first real joint stock company in Austria. The bank initiated the foundation of the Pottendorf spinning mill and of a Wiener Neustadt based cane sugar refinery. The study is based on archive material of the Schwarzenberg private collection in Czesky Krumlov.
