Differentiating motivational and cognitive explanations for decision inertia

The initial experimental study is intended to build the basis for future research at the intersection of psychology and information systems. Based on the insights of the planned experiment, we intend to further examine antecedents and consequences of decision inertia from a psychological perspective and to use these insights to develop IT-based countermeasures.
