Description
EASY-ECO is a Eurpean Conference Series on the Evaluation of Sustainability consinsting of two events:(1) The EASY-ECO I European Workshop (May 23 - 25, 2002 in Vienna) is especially designed to show the state of the art of Evaluation of Sustainable Development in Europe, to discuss the interdiscipliniarity of the subject and in particular to figure out possible contributions of each scientific discipline as well as ponting out the limits the different disciplines have to face.
One major aim of the EASY-ECO I will also be to develop a giudeline for young researchers for an investigation of the "state of praxis of evaluation of sustainable development" in their home countries, which they will carry out after EASY-ECO I. The results of EASY-ECO I Workshop and the finding of the young researchers will be presented at the EASY-ECO II European Conference in spring 2003 in Vienna.(2) The EASY-ECO II Conference will focus on a broad discussion on the "Evaluation of Sustainable Development" amongst scientiests, practitioners, people commissioning evaluations and the interested public.
