An investigation of the assumptions of the science of cognition

This investigation seeks to show that attempts to naturalize cognition are subject to criticisms that cannot be overcome. Either these theories are threatened by a regress that cannot be stopped. Or the claim of an unmediated direct access to the world that is in no need of being proved makes the philosophical theory too poor to provide us with any understanding of how we can have thoughts or even knowledge
