The project examines the effects of Smart 4.0 shopping (digitally supported shopping processes) in 3 directions: on the one hand in the direction of “solving the last mile problem” in delivery and on the other hand the influence on the whereabouts of elderly or impaired people in their own living unit and the general impact on individual shopping trips (reduction of individual traffic). The aim is to evaluate what the new system should contain and what requirements must be met in order to be able to use it in a comprehensive manner.
