Evaluation of the EcoBusinessPlan Vienna

With the EcoBusiness Plan the City of Vienna offers five consulting programs for more environmental

protection and more profit. It consists of five different parts and is developed for the Viennese Economy,

from small businesses to large concerns.




On behalf of the City of Vienna (MA 22) an interdisciplinary team of the Research Focus 'Managing

Sustainability' is carrying out an accompanying evaluation of the EcoBusinessPlan Vienna. The team

consists of experts from management, political science, sociology, regional economy and experts from

evaluation of technologies and environmental techniques. Goals of the evaluation are:

• Quality control and constant improvement of the EcoBusinessPlan Vienna

• Documentation of the whole project and its five component parts

• Analysis of the goals reached and the long-term effects of the EcoBusinessPlan Vienna

• Support of cooperatives and the institutionalization of the EcoBusinessPlan Vienna

The accompanying evaluation of the EcoBusinessPlan Vienna has been advertised in spring 2003 and after a review-procedure has been issued to the evaluation-team of the Research Focus "Managing Sustainability" also for the second programme-period. The results of the first programme-period will be published in a book (publishers Leske + Budrich) at the beginning of 2004.
