Principles of leadership and/or managerial behavior

Project Details

Description

Principles of leadership are written rules to guide managerial behavior and therefore aimed at setting standards of leadership and interpersonal behavior within an organization. Hence, they represent the explicit normative position of an organization's governance and leading concept. The research project aims to go behind the explicit content to reconstruct the implicit basic assumptions and theories, the inherent logic of action and system and the underlying norms and value-system.

Current avenues of research within the project aim at a (re-)construction of the rhetorical and discursive means through which identities of and power relations between typified actors and actor groups are constructed within the documents.
