The handbook on poverty in Austria has been edited by Nikolaus Dimmel, Karin Heitzmann and Martin Schenk. It comprises a range of different articles on theories, concepts and empirical evidence on poverty in Austria.

It consist of five sections:

B: Causes and consequences of poverty
C: Actors and instruments to combat
poverty
D: The poverty discourse in Austria
E: The way ahead

Authors include both researchers engaged in poverty research as well as practitioners engaged in public and nonprofit organizations that combat poverty in Austria.
