Description
The integration of refugees into the labor market is a key challenge in EU countries. Vienna's Youth Colleges aim to address this objective by offering young refugees individualized qualifications through language and basic education. This study analyzes the effects of this educational program on participants' employment opportunities, educational and social capital. A structured panel survey of participants before (T0) and during program participation (T1) allows for a comparison of these aspects between participants and a control group. The results provide evidence of the effectiveness of labor market programs in promoting improved integration of refugees into the labor market and society.
