The Bertelsmann Foundation finances an annual internet survey on issues concerning social inclusion in all 28 EU members states (i.e. the social Inclusion Monitor SIM Europe Reform Barometer). The survey targets social policy experts from all countries and requires them to answer various questions on policies to combat social inclusion within their countries. One of the topics the qustionnaire focuses at is poverty prevention. The analysis of results of this survey as well as a general description of developments concerning poverty and poverty policies in Europe form part of an annual publication of the Bertelsmann Foundation. Karin Heitzmann wrote the report on "poverty prevention" in 2016.
