Description
Club Tourismus has initiated a cooperation between several institutions of higher education in the tourism sector (Institute for Tourism and Leisure Studies at the Vienna University of Economics & Business Administration, FH-Modul Vienna, hlf Krems, Tourismusschulen Wien, Austrian University Course in Tourism) which aims at enhancing communication between people working in tourism industry in general and graduates of these institutions in particular.
The idea behind it
Development of a database
A close cooperation with the Austrian Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Labour, which also subsidized the project, enabled Tourism Network Austria to set up a professional web platform under the same name.
The main issue is a personal database, where graduates of all the cooperating institutions can administrate information about themselves. They can publish their professional profile according to several levels of privacy depending on the target groups. This way members are in control of what is published about them.
Besides giving information about themselves, members will keep users informed about upcoming events, job openings and projects.
