The Future of Long-Term Care

Population ageing, a related increase in chronic illness and changes in family structures will make long-term care a key social policy issue in the coming decades. Even today, pressures on welfare expenditure and already existing shortages in the labour market for health and social services make structural problems quite obvious. The objective of the project is to develop sustainable strategies for establishing long-term care policies, that guarantee high quality of care and at the same time take account of private and public financial circumstances.
