Publication: Chapter in book/Conference proceedingChapter in edited volume

Abstract

This paper traces the role of the nation in corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication by Ukrainian state-owned energy companies and reveals a form of political CSR. Political CSR, in this context, refers to corporate communication through which the companies act as political agents and advocate the economic and political orientation towards the European Union (EU). The discourse under analysis is located at the intersection of political and economic discourse and conceptualises Ukraine as a European country.
