Abstract
'Taste', a concept implying the idea of generally accepted aesthetic criteria, is still a central category of everyday dress discourse in Russia, while in other post-modern societies, 'taste' has given way to 'tastes' in the plural, or 'styles', both implying the ideas of individuality and pluralism.
