Abstract
Exchanging UML model data among tools of different vendors will be done with the technological means developed for the EIA/CDIF interim standards. This paper gives an overview about the development and present state of EIA/CDIF, the meta-metamode underlying all of CDIF's metamodel as well as the officially submitted proposal for a CDIF UML-metamodel.
