FP7-4-SD.eu Policy brief No 8: Monitoring the FP7 contribution to the EU's SD objectives in the area of "sustainable transport"

Transport is a fundamental sector of the European economy and society, employing about 10 million people in the EU. Under the Europe 2020 strategy, transport is most prominently addressed in the 2011 white paper "Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area" under the "Resource-efficient Europe" flagship initiative. This policy brief analyses how FP7-funded research addresses the sustainable development-related aspects of the 2011 transport white paper.
