Abstract

The latest version of BSF4ooRexx (a Rexx/Java bridge) implements a Rexx script engine according to the specifications implemented in the Java package "javax.script". This presentation explains the core concepts of "javax.script" and introduces the "Rexx script engine" implementation with features that should ease programming and debugging "Rexx scripts" for Rexx programmers. Working stand-alone nutshell examples will demonstrate the new features and will also depeict the available possibilities to interact with the Java supplied ScriptContext for running the Rexx scripts.
